Yet, each studio has its own character. In this blog, we tell you all about The Livingroom—our atmospheric photoshoot location with the look and feel of a cozy living room. We’ll guide you through the shooting possibilities and provide practical measurement details, so you can be perfectly prepared.
Atmospheric photo studio in Amsterdam: immerse yourself in a warm bath of inspiration
At 70 square meters, The Livingroom is our smallest photo studio, but that doesn’t mean you compromise on style and quality—quite the opposite. Here, you’ll experience the relaxed ambiance of a living room, but with an elevated aesthetic. This serene cocoon allows you to work effortlessly, surrounded by a minimalist color palette and interior design. Silver and chrome accents add an edgy touch, complemented by stylish limewash walls. The Livingroom is ideal for smaller productions, such as intimate branding shoot or boudoir photography. Its inviting atmosphere also makes it a great location for a newborn fotoshoot .
Upon entering The Livingroom—measuring 4,250mm in height and 6,170mm in width—you’ll first notice the prep area. This space is designed for optimal preparation, featuring a storage area with shelving, a ladder, tripods, and a coat rack. The narrow section of this prep room is 1,150mm wide. Take advantage of our 2,150mm wide and 640mm deep kitchen, where you and your team can enjoy unlimited Nespresso coffee and Clipper tea throughout the shoot. The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, a Nespresso machine, and even oat milk for those who prefer it. Tableware is available for up to six people. Good to know: we don’t provide catering, but we have excellent recommendations—check out our blog on takeout in Amsterdam..
In the prep area, you’ll also find a selection of paper backdrops, allowing you to experiment with various background colors during your shoot—including silver! Read more about it in our blog on photoshoot backgrounds . A must-try! To facilitate outfit changes, we’ve installed a 1,000mm x 1,000mm fitting room with a coat rack. Additionally, there’s a clothing rack with hangers, a large wall mirror, and a garment steamer. Cozy slippers are also available for use during the shoot. In short, we’ve got you covered.
In the center of the studio, you’ll find three dark metal side tables in varying heights—ideal for product photography or for adding dimension to your model shots. Near the large windows, two more stylish chairs await: a Smoked Plia Chair and a black Wassily Chair. A lot of time and love went into curating unique pieces, including vintage finds you won’t see anywhere else. All the available furniture and props are easily movable—be your own stylist and bring your creative vision to life.
You can also experiment with the loose panel available in the studio. In front of this wall, there’s another daybed. The long left wall spans a total of 6,260mm and connects to a wooden panel wall measuring 3,300mm in width and 3,750mm in height. This Noakk panel adds a cool ‘70s vibe to The Livingroom and beautifully reflects natural light from the tall windows. The wooden doorway measures 820mm in width and 2,360mm in height. In front of the panel wall, you’ll find a stylish chocolate-brown armchair and a separate pillar featuring a silver-colored sculpture. Still not enough? Let your creativity run wild against the 2,870mm wide aluminum wall.
