General

Our floor is sacred
To keep our floor clean, bright and white, we work with a shoes-off policy. We have shoe covers and slipper available to use. Don’t use the space with your shoes.

Only models can wear shoes. Be aware of shoes and soles that stain the floor. Wipe marks off immediately.

Do not risk extra costs
If you don’t take care of the floor, we have to charge you for repainting the floor up to €2.000. Please take care of our floor at all times.

As we are a daylight studio we are depending on the weather. We always recommend photographers to bring their own equipment and (back up) lightning. We do not have any equipment available for you.

Coffee, tea and water are included in your booking and available in every studio. We also have oat milk and sugar at your disposal.

You are responsible for receiving your own guests, such as models or photographers. We recommend sharing your phone number with your client and the people that you are working with in the studio. Please do not let anybody else, who isn’t a part of your team, enter the building nor the studio.

This can happen. Don’t you worry. Please let us know when it happens. So we can solve this with your insurance.

Our terms and conditions require you to have third-party insurance when placing a booking.

The Livingroom and The Loft:
Before 09:00am and after 06:00pm it’s possible to unload in front of the door.Between 09:00am and 06:00pm please use the load/unload temporary parking spaces 50 meter further on the left side of Timorplein square, in front of STAYOKAY.

The Playground:
You can unload in front our the building, in the parking area. Please do not block the road for other guests.

Important: Make sure make sure you consider the neighbors and the shops!

Take care of your personal belongings and bring everything with you at the end of your time slot. We do not have storage possibility. If we found something, we keep this for you to pick up, up to 3 months maximum.

Please be aware that there are breakable items in the studio. We highly recommend to keep an eye on your children when entering the space. We share a building with other officies. They must never experience any inconvenience. Children are not allowed to run in the hall.
It is not allowed to bring any animals to our studio. Pets are not allowed to enter the building nor the studio. But we would love to see some pictures of your pet!If you do bring pets with you, we unfortunately have to deny you access to the photo studio.
Due to the safety instructions in our buildings, it is not allowed to work with any form of smoke or fire.We cannot allow burning candles, fireworks or smoke machines.
We do not place any bookings based on barter. At this moment we’re not open to any kind of collaborations.

You are allowed to use a selection of our images to promote the location for your shoot. We would like to ask you to always credit us when using the images.

Send an email to hi@atelieroost.amsterdam for permission and access to the image gallery.

It is not self-evident, when you book with us, that you can download images from our website without permission. There are intellectual property rights to these photos. 

Unlawful use of photos, video and texts may result in a fine.

Bookings

We work with fixed prices and time slots of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 hours. You can check the live availability per day, week or month in our online agenda. You can book directly online. Complete the payment within 30 minutes and your booking is confirmed. We work with prepayment only. No refunds.

You can schedule with us via our online agenda up to 120 days into the future. You can also book up to 24 hours in advance via the regular booking system on our website.

If you need a location last minute. Please contact us by phone for the availability.

Unfortunately we cannot hold the date for you. We can never guarantee whether a date or time slot is still available after you last checked. Make sure to book the date and time slot immediately, and as soon as you have your team and schedule ready. First come, first served.
If your preferred date and time slot is not available anymore, it’s already booked by someone else. Please make sure you don’t wait too long to book while it’s still free.

We work with prepayment at all times. This is the only way we can confirm your booking.

When you make a booking, make sure you complete the payment immediately and within 30 minutes. If the payment is missing, your reservation will automatically be removed from our agenda. It may just be that someone else books your date in the meantime. So be sharp on this!

The Dutch VAT rate of 21% applies to all prices mentioned, because the studios are located in the Netherlands. The VAT will be added in the checkout. 

That's unfortunately not an option. We only offer the possibility to rent our studio in fixed time slots for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 hours. A booking per hour is therefore not an option.

If there is availability you can extend your booked time slot on the spot and at an additional cost per half hour. 

We do not recommend this. Our studios are not located on the same address.

The Loft and The Livingroom are located in the same building in the same floor. 

When combining our different studios, take into account that you might need a travel time of approximately 10 minutes.

Unfortunately we can't let you in earlier. It might be that there's a booking still going on or that the hosts hasn't arrived yet. Always make sure that the planning fits within the booked time slot. We will be ready for you five minutes before the time slot starts. Make sure you are ready to go when the time slot ends. We will notify you 15 minutes before the time slot end and kindly ask you to finish up.

If you're in need of extra time and the studio and host is available, you can upgrade your time slot per 30 minutes for an additional fee. Please pay the fee on the spot, before you extend your time slot.

It's unfortunately not possible to deliver goods and products prior to your booking. We do not have storage space. We also do not have hosts at the location every day to receive these goods. Always plan this within your time slot. 

When you'll be coming back at the same studio the following day it is possible to leave everything overnight. Always at your own risk. 

We cannot store your goods for a courier or pick up service. The studio must be empty at the end of your time slot. 

There is no extra space in the studio available for hair and make up.

If you want to have the make-up taken care of prior to your booking, we always recommend that you do this at home or take it into account when booking a time slot. We can't let you in earlier.

When you need to do hair and make up in the studio, there's room at the big tables.

If you're in need of extra time and the studio and host is available, you can upgrade your time slot per 30 minutes for an additional fee. Please pay the fee on the spot, before you extend your time slot.

You are responsible for receiving guests, such as models or photographers. We recommend to share your phone number and contact details with them.

Please note: Never let unknown persons, who are not part of your team, into our buildings, studios or spaces.

Our host will always be working at the big table in the studio during the time slot. For all your questions and great coffees. If she is in your way, please ask her to move. She will never get in the way of your shoot.

The host is not responsible for your team, production or guests.

Private bookings are possible for an additional fee, depending on the duration of your time slot.

2 hours: €50*
4 hours: €100*
6 hours: €100*
8 hours: €150*
10 hours: €150*
12 hours: €150*

You can pay for the additional fee in the checkout.

If there is availability and no booking is planned after you, it is possible to extend the time slot for an additional fee of 75€ per half hour.

You can pay the extra fee on the spot, via a QR code, prior to the extension.

You can only reschedule your booking by informing us by email: hi@atelieroost.amsterdam.

The first time is free of charge. Rescheduling is only possible up to 72 hours before your booking starts. When you move your booking a second time, we charge €150 excluded of VAT.

If you request a rescheduling within 72 hours, we are forced to charge 50% of the amount of the booking. If you want to move within 24 hours, we unfortunately have to charge 100% and therefore the full amount. We will request you to place a new booking.

Read our terms and conditions carefully before you accept. By placing a booking you always agree with our booking conditions.

You can cancel your booking up to 72 hours in advance. We do not give any refunds. There're two options if you want to cancel your booking:

  1. You can reschedule with us;
  2. You can transfer your booking to somebody else.


Please inform us in any case by email. Only then we can process your request.

If you request a rescheduling within 72 hours, we are forced to charge 50% of the amount of the booking. If you want to move within 24 hours, we unfortunately have to charge 100% and therefore the full amount. We will request you to place a new booking.

The only thing we cannot control is the weather. Otherwise we would have surprised everyone with some sun shine.

It can happen that the weather is bad and you have a dark day. Because we are a daylight studio, we always advise photographers to bring (extra) lightning.

You can also rent equipment via 711rent.

We do not provide any equipment.

Atelier Oost Amsterdam is not responsible for the planning or suppliers of our customers.

In the event of cancellation, the general terms and conditions apply at all times.

Therefore, always make sure that you do not book the location yet if you do not have the necessary materials.

THE Livingroom

Het adres van The Livingroom is Timorplein 31 Amsterdam, which is located in an old school building with the entrance next to Studio K.

The Loft studio is located in the same building. 

The Livingroom is easy to reach from the highway A10, Muiderpoort Station and Tram 14.

The entrance is at the Borneostraat and tram way side. There you find the door with ‘kantoren’ on a yellow sign above. We do have doorbell, please ring the digital intercom at 37.

We do have a door bell. Ring the digital intercom at number 31.

Before 09:00am and after 06:00pm it’s possible to unload in front of the door.

Between 09:00am and 06:00pm please use the load/unload temporary parking spaces 50 meter further on the left side of Timorplein square, in front of STAYOKAY.

We have a (shared) doorbell. Please ring us at number 31. The the stairs or elevator to the second floor and ring us at 31 again.

There’s an elevator in the building of The Livingroom and therefore wheelchair accessible.

The Livingroom photo studio is located on the second floor.

Dimensions:

  • 210 cm high
  • 90 cm wide
  • 210 cm deep

The door opening to the hallway is 83 cm wide

The Livingroom has a size of 70 square meters. We recommend using the studio with a maximum of 8 persons. In The Livingroom there are plenty of seating places.

There is extra storage space available in The Livingroom. 

It’s not allowed to put anything in the hall way. We request you to put your stuff in the hall at the coffee corner, right before you enter the studio.

You can leave your things in the studio when you come back the next day. This is always at your own risk. 

There is free WiFi available in our spaces. Passwords can be found on the QR code display.

Coffee, tea and water are included in your booking and available in every studio. We also have oat milk and sugar at your disposal.

If you would like to order food, we recommend the following:

The Loft

The use of the stairs in The Loft is only allowed with one person at a time up to the sixth step. It is not suitable for group photos. 

It is also not allowed to use the swing with more than one person at a time.

Please always following the instructions of our host.

THE PLAYGROUND

The address of The Playground is Veemarkt 36D in Amsterdam. The studio is easy to reach from the highway A10, Muiderpoort Station and Tram 14.

You can unload in front of our building, via the overhead door in the parking area. Please do not block the road for other guests.

Please note: make sure make sure you consider the neighbors!

Paid parking is possible in front of the door and in the Veemarkt area. Costs: €5.00 per hour from Monday till Saturday from 9 am to 12am. Parking is fee on Sundays. 

There is a doorbell at the front door. You can also contact us by +31207235168, so we can pick you up at the front door. 

The studio is located on the ground floor.

The Playground is 272 square meters large. We advise to use the studio with a maximum of 25 personen for creative productions and 100 guests for events.

Check it out on the studio page for available furniture.

There’s extra storage space available at The Playground. Ask the host where you can put your bags.

Location visit

Unfortunately we cannot hold the date for you. We work with a “first come, first served” policy.

We can never guarantee whether a date or time slot is still available after you last checked. Make sure to book the date and time slot immediately, and as soon as you have your team and schedule ready. 

It is possible to visit the location(s) and studio by appointment, outside booked hours.

You can only visit by appointment. Call us to plan a visit to see if our studio fits your needs.

We work on prepayment only. When you place a booking, you pay upfront and you receive the invoice by email. We accept payments with iDeal, credit card, Klarna and Apple Pay.

Please complete the payment within 30 minutes. Only then can we confirm the booking. If the payment is not completed, your booking will be canceled automatically.

You will receive an invoice for your booking when it has been paid. Due to administrative reasons, we cannot place bookings per invoice.

We are very transparent. Everyone books with us under the same conditions.

Very occasionally, when we have something to celebrate, we organize a marketing campaign. That is exceptional. Sign up for the newsletter if you want to stay informed.

If you would like to photograph more often in The Loft, we recommend that you take a look at our credit packages. This is how you plan photo shoots with a high discount on the location rental.

Use
House rules

When you enter the studio, the host will ask you to take off your shoes and sign the house rules form. 

Make sure you and your team are aware of our house rules and how to behave in the studio.

Also take the warning on the stickers in the studio seriously, for your own safety.

It's not allowed to place our furniture or your own items in the hallway, outside the studio.

Unfortunately we cannot put any nails and screws in the wall.

You can use TESA sticky nails.

Keep in mind that you will not damage the walls.
