For the March Issue of Numéro Switzerland, the creative team immersed themselves in the extraordinary world of Iris van Herpen. The result? A Sci-Fashion editorial where couture, innovation and imagination seamlessly merge.
And… incredibly… they chose our location, The Playground, as the backdrop.

Numéro Switzerland x The Playground: Sci-Fashion at Its Most Spectacular
The Playground is not just another daylight studio. It’s a space that challenges you. A place where ideas are allowed to grow far beyond the original plan. The scale makes an impact. Truly mega-sized. Here, you can build, stack, and most importantly, play with perspective. Our iconic staircases, striking photogenic corners and endless possibilities for out-of-the-box set design give photographers and stylists the freedom to create entire worlds.
For this shoot, the space transformed into a futuristic universe. Colours you’d normally only see in your wildest daydreams. Metallic accents. Futuristic accessories. Unconventional shapes. Sculptural silhouettes. The Playground supported it all effortlessly.
The designs of Iris van Herpen demand an environment just as daring as the garments themselves. Her creations move between technology and craftsmanship, between sculpture and wearable art. At The Playground, those pieces were given space: literally and figuratively. The freedom of the studio made it possible to experiment with lighting design, layering and surreal compositions.
This is exactly what The Playground was built for: a playground for creatives who refuse to colour inside the lines.
