\nOur largest natural-light studio, measuring no less than 270 square metres, has undergone a (partial) makeover over the past few months. And no, we haven\u2019t just added a few new props. We\u2019ve really gone back to basics and added some real gems.\n

\nNot only with new colours, but also with new settings. New furniture. New energy.\nFrom the moment you step inside, the space feels different. Softer, more refined and, above all, more high-end. As if you\u2019ve just walked onto the set of an editorial shoot that somehow also feels like your favourite design hotel. But with the welcoming atmosphere you\u2019ve come to expect from Atelier Oost Amsterdam.\n

From Marrakech vibes to sophisticated soft minimalism<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhen we opened The Playground<\/a> three years ago, the space was inspired by the desert, Marrakech and the clouds in our daydreams. A creative playground full of warm influences and surprising nooks and crannies. But creativity never stands still, and neither do we. Over the past few months, we\u2019ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes on a partial restyle that perfectly matches how photographers, brands and content creators want to create today.\n

\nCurious about the new atmosphere? Think almost edible earthy tones reminiscent of soft toffees, eye-catching beiges, subtle wall textures, matte meets gloss, sculptural design objects and, above all, a sense of calm that still stimulates the senses. The result feels sophisticated, but never distant. As if you\u2019re surrounded by buttery-soft fabrics, suede textures and diffused sunlight that quite literally glides across the walls. \nThree walls have been completely recoloured. We\u2019ve also added wooden wall panels, inspired by the beloved details from The Loft.<\/a>The effect? Every corner feels like a brand-new setting. The exclusive textured paint<\/a> from the eARTh collection by Art-In-Return and The Farm Home creates a beautiful sense of layering that you almost want to touch. And daylight continuously dances across the surfaces, instantly adding more depth to every photograph and video. All of this without needing extensive styling. The space does the work for you.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMore space. More calm. More creative freedom.<\/b>
\nOne of the biggest changes? We\u2019ve deliberately removed some of the furniture. That\u2019s precisely why The Playground feels even bigger. With less visual clutter, there\u2019s more space for your ideas. Your camera literally has more breathing space, and every setting feels clean, calm and editorial. Within our 270-square-metre studio, you\u2019ll still find endless nooks, but now with an even more refined look that works perfectly for:

    \nThe restyle also involved a partial furniture swap. The absolute centrepiece is the iconic Ligne Roset Togo sofas. Their sculptural shape, corduroy fabric and relaxed vibe make them perfect for campaigns, interviews, lifestyle shoots and social media content. In addition, The Playground now features, amongst other things, a stylish new bedroom corner (OMG!) and new coffee tables in wood and microcement. \n

    \nBut also designer armchairs, reflective objects, surprising accessories and new styling elements that give every setting a high-end feel. Everything \u2013 both existing and new \u2013 has been carefully curated to allow you to switch between different atmospheres effortlessly.     Daylight still takes centre stage<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThankfully, our iconic daylight hasn\u2019t changed. It\u2019s probably the biggest reason why so many creators have fallen in love with The Playground. With a ceiling height of 4.5 metres and large windows facing east, west and the roof above, the studio feels almost endless.\nStill deciding which time slot to book<\/a>? We\u2019re happy to help.\n

    \n- Book between 7:00 am and 11:00 am and a beautiful morning glow floods the space.<\/i>
    \n- Book between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm and you\u2019ll be treated to magical, dreamy sunlight appearing at the back of the studio.<\/i>

    \nAnd the slightly darker middle section? That\u2019s exactly what makes it perfect for experimenting with artificial lighting and flash photography.     \nWe simply couldn\u2019t help ourselves. Of course, we wanted to be the first to capture this transformation. Partly because we\u2019re incredibly excited about it and partly because we wanted to inspire you with all the possibilities. The production was entirely centred around the new energy of The Playground. The images you see throughout this blog show exactly what The Playground 2.0 stands for: softness, luxury, texture, creativity and endless possibilities.
