Bathed in the warm glow of daylight pouring through the tall, expansive windows of The Playground, 4\u00d76 sofa<\/a> hosted an inspiring lookbook shoot. Six sofas, each with its own unique character, came to life against a palette of earthy tones, iconic staircases, and a beautiful blend of textures and materials. We sat down with co-founder Suzanne to hear about the origins of the brand and why The Playground was the perfect setting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

From dream to design brand<\/h2>

What began as a dream in a temporarily occupied building in 2017 has grown into one of the fastest-rising interior brands in the Netherlands. Suzanne and Ellen \u2013 childhood friends with over twenty years of experience in fashion and interiors \u2013 decided to launch a clear and accessible sofa concept. Just six models, in twenty-four colours, with fixed pricing. Simplicity, transparency, and above all: joy in making a choice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\u201cIn the beginning, we were especially surprised by the enthusiastic reactions,\u201d <\/i>Suzanne recalls. \u201cPeople really appreciated not being overwhelmed by too many options, while still being able to create a unique sofa.\u201d <\/i>Modularity is now far more than just a design trend \u2013 it has become a lifestyle. \u201cPeople want flexibility,\u201d <\/i>Suzanne explains. \u201cWhen you move house or your family situation changes, you want furniture that can adapt. Every model is modular, allowing customers to endlessly mix and match \u2013 from a minimalist loveseat to a generous seating island. And with fixed prices per element, there are no surprises. \u201cWe chose to specialise in just one product \u2013 the modular sofa \u2013 and to do it as well as we possibly can. In our showroom in Naarden, you can see every model in real life, and all 24 fabrics are displayed on large rolls. It makes visualising your sofa easy and fun.\u201d<\/i>\n

The combination of online configurators and a physical showroom experience is a deliberate choice. \u201cPeople start their search online, but ultimately, they want to feel how a sofa sits, how a fabric feels. And they want to meet us. That personal connection really comes to life in the showroom.\u201d<\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

4x6 sofa at The Playground: a tribute to simplicity, modularity and style<\/h2>\nFor their latest campaign, 4x6 sofa chose to shoot at The Playground \u2013 the largest daylight studio<\/a> of Atelier Oost Amsterdam. \u201cIt\u2019s such a stunning space \u2013 it really elevated the look of our sofas,\u201d<\/i> says Suzanne. The pieces were photographed in a setting that felt just right: soft daylight, characterful walls<\/a> , and architectural lines. \u201cThe nine-element setup we created there? It comes pretty close to our ideal living room. That\u2019s the way you want to live, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/i>

\nStyling was taken to the next level thanks to a collaboration with Momo Rugs. \u201cRugs and sofas are a perfect pairing. We\u2019ve worked with Vloerkledenwinkel for some time now, but never on location. Their wide range means there\u2019s a match for every fabric and layout we offer.\u201d<\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
