You are an entrepreneur and are looking for a location that breathes a little more ‘high end’. After all, you would like to do a branding shoot. The space should exude your brand's sophisticated aesthetic, should be simple and serene and you want to feel comfortable. That might still seem like a tall order, but The Townhouse could still be the answer. In this hidden gem in Amsterdam, personally decorated by me, you will experience a harmonious and calm feeling as soon as you enter. A photo shoot location that puts you centre stage, surrounded by the most beautiful, natural materials and a sensory-pleasing colour palette.

The Townhouse as a Japandi chic photo shoot location for minimalist branding photography

When I designed The Townhouse, I immediately had in my mind that this would be the shoot location for exclusive, smaller productions. Perfect for a branding shoot, then, because you want to keep those as intimate as possible. Whether you are the owner of a law firm, own a psychology practice or are a high-end fashion stylist: this exclusive photo location is ideal for conveying your company's story. And in Japandi chic style, consisting of three floors full of minimalist brands such as Studio Henk, NORR11, Ligne Roset and Studio Séle.

Of course, we have written about branding shoots many times before, as well as how to go about it. With the right Personal branding photography you can convey your brand's vision and core values in a powerful and personal way. With the images, you want to leave a certain impression and make an impact on both new and existing customers. Ideally, you should have thought about words that fit your brand, a specific colour palette and outfits beforehand. It is always advisable to make a mood board, for instance on Pinterest or old-fashioned with paper and scissors. That way, you can instruct your branding photographer even more clearly.

Inspiration for your exclusive branding photo shoot

The advantage of booking a branding photo studio like The Townhouse, is that it gives you plenty of room for creativity. You can book multiple time slots here and bang on one piece. Change rooms again and again to keep things exciting, but at the same time enjoy a consistently recurring image that people will recognise you by. In the uniquely decorated corners with the prettiest accessories, you can endlessly vary and experiment with different poses.

Just look at the images in this blog post, featuring me as a model. I booked two photographers, each with a different style, and asked them to go wild at The Townhouse. Photographer Esmée van Loon tells: ‘I think it's important that a strong, visual story takes your brand to the next level. With well-thought-out, distinctive and personal use of imagery, illustrations and design, you build a clear and powerful brand. A brand with a clear concept. With all its space and diversity, The Townhouse is unique. Several floors, many corners; this location offers so many possibilities that I will be back soon’.

Also photographer Maureen is enthusiastic: ‘This is such a nice, light and dreamy place to take photos for your brand. This house offers the advantages of shooting in a house and studio in one! In terms of settings, you experience more than enough possibilities here’. Because I shot with two different creatives, the end result is automatically very different. And yet shot in the same space! So you don't have to choose between warm and welcoming or high-end, exclusive and fashion: you can just do both.

The ideal setting for stylish and professional image banks
What type of branding is The Townhouse actually suitable for? Think of an interior stylist who would like beautiful images of themselves in an oasis of calm and style. Maybe you have a consultancy business and want to show that your clients are from the high end, but get into a warm bath. And as a sleep or meditation coach, taking a seat in the sophisticated styled bedroom with small bathroom is another great idea. A copywriter or editor-in-chief of a magazine can have fun in the oak coffee corner, with Studio Henk table for photos of you as well as your laptop, notebook and other essentials. And we could go on and on.

The natural daylight, the inviting seating area, the staircase with block steps and wooden slats... all are elements you can play with to the full. Oak accents immediately give a luxurious feel and the microcement-finished walls, floors and ceilings offer a professional, clean look. Great for when you need a corporate image bank, but one with a warm, personal and open feel. Or for a fashion photography production that has just a unique twist. I look forward to seeing your favourite picture from this blog post, and hope to welcome you with us soon.
