This high-contrast studio is full of the most beautiful brands, all personally selected and brought together by me. From Conscious Concrete to Lush Leave: rich earth tones for the wall
Let's start with the dreamy colours on the walls. These are from the Colors for the real farmers brand. Especially for The Playground, my favourite art brand ART IN RETURN developed a collection with this, called the eARTh collectionThis collection combines art and texture into a fairytale, with 12 shades ranging from Conscious Concrete and Pale Powder to Burned Brick, Touched Terra and Lush Leave. Surprising 3D art inspired by travel and other cultures
ART IN RETURN's 3D art is actually inseparable from my studios but now also from my home. These eye-catchers for the wall, consisting of crazy earth tones, are inspired by travels and influences from other cultures. So this graphic, modern and minimalist art fits perfectly with the look of The Playground. And for the new restyling last April, the artworks were provided with ART IN RETURN's paint collection in collaboration with The Farm.
The slow living feeling with rustico curtains
Innovative yet stylish: discover Devoonsound's speakers at The Playground
With such a large space, of course, comes perfect sound quality. And so I fitted The Playground with custom-made speakers from Devoonsounds. These speakers are pleasing to the eye and were hand-designed with the latest audio technology. Using a mix of cement, water and sand, you will enjoy the very best sound quality, as the casing of the speaker is rock solid and therefore does not vibrate or move out of place. This unique designer piece is an item to be seen: very different from regular, somewhat boring models.
From Disco Cube to vintage finds: create unique shots in The Playground
Then on to all the furniture! Yellowbubble's unique Disco Cube is a real eye-catcher thanks to the countless mirrors on it. This makes the original object ideal for reflection photographyfor example. Place the Cube preferably near one of the high windows in The Playground and behold a dreamy play of shadow and light. Sit on it or use the cube for your product shots: anything goes.
We continue on the silver for a while, namely with the metallic VITRA PANTON chair. This insanely beautiful, curvy chair gives a branding or fashion shoot, for example, just that little bit more oomph. To make it even more unique, I used various vintage finds. Combining these finds with new design pieces and high street from Zara Home, for example, creates a personal whole.
Consider the vintage 3-seater sofa, model 2219 in solid oak and boucle fabric by Børge Mogensen for Frederica, Denmark 1950. A unique eye-catcher for the seating area, with an incredibly beautiful contrast against the wall colour Lush Leave from the eARTh collection. The wooden floor lamp completes the stylish seating area in The Playground and accentuates the materials of the vintage sofa. Also discover the 80's Italian design armchair with a velvet-like look and a deep, chic brown shade. The chair looks great with the earth tones from The Playground but also works unexpectedly well with all the silver.
Another cool item is Varier's Ekstrem chair. This chair has a special, organic shape, giving it a lot of freedom of movement on screen. The seating comfort is also unprecedented. Try every pose, and let the bouclé fabric add a cozy touch to your photos. While we're on the subject of unique chairs: meet the Roly Poly by Driade. The seat of this flowy designed chair has a round, bowl-shaped look, which is a nice contrast to the solid look of the model.
Chuncky chic: the Boa Pouf by Sabine Marcelis
The Boa Pouf by Sabine Marcelis is most reminiscent of a donut in terms of shape. This woollen and nylon eye-catcher in beige has a striking, chunky look and looks original on any shot. Lounge delightfully against or in it, lift it up or use the pouf to drape accessories around: it's your party.
