Exclusive: ART IN RETURN paint collection at The Playground

Remember our pop-up collab with ART IN RETURN? In June last year, the work of my favourite art brand temporarily at The Loft, and this was a great success. This could not be otherwise with owner Annemieke's impressive 3D art. And... we have great news: because we liked the collaboration so much last time, we are joining forces again. And this time at The Playground! Our newest studio will get a real restyling, starting 17 April.

Eyecatchers on the wall: discover 3D art by ART IN RETURN

First, back to ART IN RETURN Of course, you may have missed our previous collab, or still have no idea what we are talking about now. But I'm sure you'll recognise Annemieke's art. These handmade 3D artworks are real eye-catchers for the wall, and are made in insanely beautiful earth tones. So these fit our spaces perfectly. And in my home, because I have them myself. Amsterdam-based Annemieke likes to draw inspiration from her travels and combines influences from other cultures in her work. She is the founder of 3D art and has since been copied many times.

ART IN RETURN art has a graphic, modern and minimalist look and fits perfectly into today's Japandi style. But certainly also within other interior styles. The creations play with light and shadow during the day: so be sure to hang them in a place that catches the sunlight nicely. Back to The Playground. We wanted to go even bigger, and so there will be a new paint collection to be launched in collaboration with The Farm. For this, ART IN RETURN created a veritable 'E-ART-H collection'. It became a curation of twelve different colours consisting of mineral and sustainable paint, three colour gradations and four shades, exuding the brand's typical look and feel. These colours can be admired on various works of art with us: real must-haves for any lover of exclusive interior decoration. And working with ART IN RETURN means contributing to a better world: the collection is plastic-free.

Annemieke was inspired by the ambience from The Playground. She explains: 'The collaboration with the Loft was a perfect match with my artworks: a beautiful interior, fantastic light and an inspiring place. The Playground is another step ahead: an overwhelmingly large space where I can display extra-large works. A beautiful restyling where the walls are given a finishing touch with this special paint, topped with artworks in the same colour. Because of the intimate corners in this studio, and again that beautiful daylight, my art changes throughout the day'.

Annemieke: 'Tired of a bit of beige myself, I just painted my own studio in the distinct colour Burned Brick. There, of course, I immediately hung my latest artworks in the same colour. Last February, I was in my favourite city Marrakech and this colour is a nice reminder of that.'
